Spring is coming! Thank goodness. I love winter, don't get me wrong, but I am thrilled that it is going to start warming up soon here. This week I created a Spring-themed mood board and color palette for Procreate and would love to share them with you! Read to the end for a link to my shop to get a free download for my Procreate Palette.
Mood board
To me, spring means flowers, green grass, new life and the light shades of pink. This mood board perfectly captures what I think of when I think about spring. These colors inspire light, airy doodles of flowers, fields, and things that remind us of the happiness that comes when the world starts to get a little bit warmer.
Color Palette
This color palette was so fun to make, just like the last color palette blog post I made for Christmas. I was able to look at the world around me and carefully curate this palette that can be used for so many little doodles. My aunt owns an orchard in my hometown that has a handful of cherry trees, so when I think about spring the first thing that comes to mind is cherry blossoms. Because of this, the color palette I created is called the Cherry Blossom palette. As a thank you to my readers, I will attach the download for the color palette here, and if you would like to show some support to my shop, you can use the Code BLOG123 for 70% off the color palette (this means it is 60 cents after the code!)
Inspiration
With this palette, I created this cute doodle welcoming spring. It features my favorite colors from the palette as well as some cherry blossom doodles. If you would like some help with your handwriting and handwritten calligraphy like shown below, I will have a blog tutorial coming soon! My favorite thing to use for inspiration for handwritten fonts are pictures with font samples. Another huge source of inspiration for me when I am creating palettes/mood boards is searching *something* aesthetics on Pinterest. This always pulls up the most beautiful images to draw inspiration from.
And lastly! Here is the download for the color palette. It will download to your device as a zip file. You can extract files on most devices but may need a computer or laptop to get your palette. If you run into issues, feel free to shoot me an email from the contact box on the home page!
